We absolutely shot ourselves in the foot this week by exclaiming "Considering it's rainy season, it's been pretty dry". So, of course, the first day we decided to take a break from our 'work-gym-surf' schedule to explore, it chucked it down!

As an avid reader, I like to share what I’ve been reading/listening to each month and how I find new books or pick new topics.

My favourite book this month, which was also my monthly reading goal Moving Memoirs was:

​Finding Me by Viola Davis

​Extinction by Douglas Preston​

I can never fault a Douglas Preston thriller or the team-up books he does with Lincoln Child.

Erebus Resort, nestled in a sprawling hundred-thousand-acre valley deep in the Colorado Rockies, offers guests a unique experience of viewing genetically resurrected creatures like woolly mammoths and giant ground sloths. Where We Roam

No matter where our travels take us, I make it a point to immerse myself in at least one book that originates from our current location or is penned by a local author. This month, here's the literary gem inspired by our surroundings:

No doubt you've seen the movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The story follows a young backpacker named Richard who stumbles upon an idyllic beach paradise, filled with other travellers seeking escape from the pressures of society. But as Richard becomes more entangled in this seemingly perfect community, he starts to uncover dark secrets and disturbing truths about their way of life.
